Smoothsailing: I do not think a $20M or $50m contract will do much either.
The magic will be in the name. Apple, Samsung, HP, etc etc will be needed for a significant movement.
In my opinion there will be two kinds of magic. The first will happen if and when POET Technologies can sell anything at all. It won't matter much whether it will be a 5 or 50 million bucks. The mere fact that the POET technology is commercially viable (read: someone is willing to pay for it) will be a strong signal to the sideliners and drive them into POET.
The second type of magic is of course what you said, Smoothsailing: a big name. If POET is able to ink a deal with one or more of those, many people will get aware of our little company and jump in while it is still cheap (i.e. $10 or so).
