2013, a Silicon Valley startup all-electric car wins Motor Trends "Car of the Year". The Model "S" energized the electric car industry and reintroduced its' Namesake to the world "Tesla". It is one of the most fuel efficient vehicles on the planet, produces no emissions and can go from 0-60mph in 4 seconds.

As referred to in QuantumX post, "The D model, unveiled by billionaire Tesla owner Elon Musk, has two motors - one powering the front wheels and one powering the rear wheels. It has a top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h) and offers two acceleration modes - Sport and Insane. In Insane Mode, the full 691 horsepower of the electric car's two motors is applied in one go."

I can only think how Nikolas Tesla would be smiling today when you think about the 1931 Pierce-Arrow car he fully converted to electric that ran 90 mph! At the time a Ford Model A was running 65 mph, the Tesla electric car was truly insane in the day!

Can't help to think about the icing on the cake to honour Tesla who brought electrictiy to the world and envisioned free electricty for all mankind. That will be "Powered by POET" with savings of 80%-90% - we will soon see that technology in future Tesla cars.
