Not impossible, okiedo, perhaps some misdirection from CC after Black Toad broke the code!

Putting that possibility aside, the fact that they have made such an ad and are apparently ready to use it soon, if not tomorrow, well, that is very signficant to me. This type of "news" is very different than the usual served up to us by POET and most every other company.

The ad strongly suggests that the company is already sure they have something - which means a good deal more than posters being sure of the same thing. Does a guy like AM really want a bunch of egg on his face as he ends his incredible career? Imagine running that add, and finding out, "well, we really thought we had something here, but geez, we just missed."

Quite honestly (okay, usually a falsehood follows that phrase, but not this time), I would not be floored if management minus AM would pull such a stunt, anything to raise the price, assist in a PP or public offering, etc. You might all think me harsh, but given what I heard from management back in, what was it, Feb 2012, well, I could see it.

Of course, we still need the ad to be published, but I doubt they would spend the money for the ad, without having a darn good idea they would use it. I suppose it's possible that they ordered the ad and were intending to use it for a big event, if they were sure that they had the goods by the time the event occurred. And, if they weren't in a position to be sure, they could use the ad later, when they were, in front of possibly far more limited audiences.

Bottom line, if this tech is viewed by management with as much certainty and awe as by most on this board, and if it's ready to roll, then the SB is the correct spot for the ad. I mean, it's one hell of an announcement, designed to raise eyebrows and questions and curiousity from an audience that actually watches ads.

AM's phone (which he keeps near his Rolodex) will be ringing of the hook on Monday morning if that ad airs Sunday - "Ajit, you have a pair of brass ones!" "Ajit, wtf were you thinking?" "Ajit, just what the heck to you have there?" "Ajit, hope you're right, or you're gonna look pretty silly."
