Im in the same boat come this May. By then, I'll be forced to sell a chunk of stock.
The missed deadlines are disappointing and amplified because of managements unfortunate consistency in setting them and then always pushing them back.
I believe in POET but I've always been on the fence. Never in the cheering section or gloomy section. Unlike others, I like to log on to the board and read the more challenging posts. It keeps the fine line of hope and delusion at bay. That being said, my gut tells me that we will not be seeing the news we all expect and want to see. Maybe 40-50% is a safer bet?
I think this stock stalled ever since the possibility of the potential RS popped up. We've heard from ppl who attended the AGM (through management) that it's a 'just incase, fix'. Unfortunately, I'm not in that camp. If POET is so evolutionary then why create that shroud of doubt? We're almost in to March, we just received a killer NR this past week about the 40nm project and no promising pop. Huh? Seriously?
At this point, I see the 'just incase fix' coming in to play. I hope to eat my words on this one.
To POET management, stop teasing about 'our 3rd party foundry', bla, bla, bla...
Just tell us already! Cause that story is getting old. And why on earth are you spending good money to advertise when you don't back it up? Support the damn commercials with solid news that investors (not scientists or engineers) understand! If setting awareness is what you are trying to establish, it isn't working. POETF trades only 25-30,000 shares a day. Peanuts! Reward the longs. The ones who really believe in you, ya know? the ones who stood behind you when we went almost bankrupt. I'm tired of seeing the penny flippers and shorters get there way.
Can someone please tell me how shorting is legal, anyway? That's insane.
And if some think I'm whining, then too damn bad! I made my investment decisions based on what management promised last year, the year before, and then the year before that one. You are probably in a comfortable position so of course, it's easy for you to say those things. Think! Please try not to be ignorant when others feel frustrated.
IMO, Patience is indirectly related to age. If you're older then its easier. If you're younger and still trying to plow your road, it's not as easy. You were there too, right? Remember?
Last thing. If any of you think that I am bashing, think again. I have been invested in this company since the first Pellegrino report was issued, 4 yrs ago. I need this to work probably more than most reading!
Scary, good luck to you. Hope it all works out.
And good luck to all the patient and impatient longs!
