Fairchij: Maybe Pinetree just wanted to get under the reporting threshold because their next move is to sell their common shares to an interested party at a very significant premium without having to report it until their next quarter.
That's a very interesting speculation, Fairchij! This would be a win-win situation for both. The investor could acquire a very significant amount of shares he would not be able to buy in the open market at a "reasonable" price, and Pinetree would cash out huge (whatever that means) on their POET investment.
Oh, and after Pinetree's next quarterly results we'd all benefit of the Pinetree penalty being gone.
