BMO, told me I could add the $4500 to my account immediately, so I transfered shares from my margin account into my TFSA this morning. The limit increase is effective as of January 1, 2015. As mentioned by others, the government has a majority and I don't think a majority government in Canada has ever voted down its own budget.
