Sulasailor: However, in the absence of a dedicated POET Media Ops role I feel we can assume that any contact with the Company albeit about MO can be through Chris to whichever Director overseas the MO/PR function, on the basis that we as investors have to work through the company's IR department.

Yes, if media or anybody else wants to contact the company, he will have to approach Chris. And as we have seen just recently (→ BNN), Chris forwards media requests plus advice to the management in order to decide what to do.

So I think actually management is doing PR – if you want to call it "public relations" what they are doing. At least we have not been told about any professional PR agency working for POET full-time. That does of course not mean that they prepared the two video ads over the weekend at their home PCs. No, this has been done professionally and with a concept.

However, at this time the company's focus is obviously not on PR. And rightfully so. I think this is part of what the company calls lean operations.
