I beg to differ. The management cares about the share price insofar as to make sure it fulfills the Nasdaq requirements following partnership announcements.

There's a risk the share price will not go as much northward as needed. Management mitigates that risk by putting a proper insurance in place. Relying on "the market" alone would be irresponsible!
