I am sure you are right, Rainer!
Simply put: You have to transform a digital signal into light, and this digital part will need CMOS functionalltity.

Fom the Milestones we can see:

In the first quarter of 2016, demonstrate first fully externally processed wafers for both VCSEL and FET functionality

And for the FET you will always need P and N channels, right?

Question: Will POET have, or do they already have internally processed wafers before Q1?

In any case SV will soon show you - and us - something: 1st of March at the CS-conferrence in Belgium!
