DC, some of what you say is true, however I think this is about communication, and it seems like it is not happening from IR in general. People have questions, might just want some clarity on some information, and that is part of their job. I do not think it is acceptable to not respond at all. I get ~ 100 emails a day, this is a pain for me, but does not mean I can ignore them all.
