However, the worst thing for any company to do is to underestimate or disregard competition. Complacency is a b**. Not only does it hurt your interests, it also creeps up on you; you are complacent without knowing that you are. That is the killer.

I completely agree with that vcsel. I'm well aware (and im sure management are) that whilst POET tries to commercialise, the competition is working hard. At any point something could come to the table that is significant to POETs business/s.

However, I firmly believe that what POET has, is so far reaching, that it will find it's way into the market in some form. That to me reduces the risk quite significantly, but never entirely.

POET are very close to something positive and we could see evidence of that any day soon. I really don't think that can be said for the tech discussed in this article, not based on the evidence within it, at least.
