Perhaps you or any of our techies clarify something for me and perhaps other technologically challenged folk (in connection with the excerpt quoted below from your remarkable recent post). We've talked a lot about detectors and tons and tons about VCSELs, now how about "build(ing) the transistors." What kind of challenge does that pose in this process of optimization and integration? And is POET shooting for making this integrated chip work with both GsAs and Si material?
00:35:04– … So I think we’re taking it one step at a time: We’ve got to build the detector, we’ve got to build the VCSEL, and then we’ve got to build the transistors. Once they’re all built then you can put any system together in terms of the design, so it’s kind of a stepwise process ensuring everything is manufacturable.
