If you carefully read all the relevant posts of Sula you will understand that all this is not about PET (POET without the oprical functions), but about the shift of POET's R&D in 2015 when they (led by the TRAB?) focussed on the optical engine and the AOC - leaving the rest of the field to the cooperation with IMRE (A*Star) and ???.

I find it quite interesting: Now that POET clearly announced their will to enter such a cooperation (something Sula is predicting since 2015) he is simply bashed.

People do only look at the SP. But not at this future cooperation. Imagine one of the big players signes up? Or a consortium of them avoiding a bidding war?

No my friends, POET is not dead! Not at all! The only difference to 2015 is that now we have an additional InP-platform from DL/BBP including a nice FAB, and in addition some more proof points of mass producable POET structures (VCSEL, detector and thyristor. Well, only 3T? Common, this is something which soon will be solved! I like the proposal of MOSCA!!!).
