Just needs multiple kicks at the can which takes time and money.

Exactly.

GlassHalfFull: And the money part sounds pretty small compared what the main players in the semi space make daily.

That's why POET is looking for a strategic partner who would fund that kicking the can.

GlassHalfFull: I just find it hard to believe one of these companies don't step forward.

To me it sounds like a run around.

My impression is that they are in discussions with potential partners, but not close to an agreement yet.

Of course not. Such negotiations are under NDA, and we will be told the outcome only, if and when there is one. That's why I emphasized above that this is my impression only. I might be completely wrong.
