"It’s absolutely incredible how many thumbs up you get (honestly no offense). This aside we heard all roads lead to POET in April 2015 in and around $2/share which would be an 800%ish return from today’s levels, do you think we will see results in 2017 for shareholders above these previous levels or more likely 2018?"
What you are not saying, shareholdervalue, is that the POET of 2015 was a different management with a different goal. They did not have a handle on the technology. They were like a group of campers who trekked in the forest and tripped over alien technology created by the Taylorians (an advance technlogical civilization from the Orion cluster). As that management did not have the expertise, all they could do, was hype it to the highest bidder; but as you know, if there were any such bidders, they knew that POET was not nearly as ready as hyped. Geoff Taylor had vision, but the management of the day, probably hyped his visions in order to attract interest. All that was the easy part. That hype lead to the $2.86 share price as the Nasdaq carrot was hyped. Once the hype did not materialize, then the share price deflated. That management's plan failed, but they did succeed on passing the baton to people who really can wrap themselves around this technology and get things done.
When the new management came aboard. They had to assess what POET had and to make sure they could develop platforms and products that people want. All that has taken place and while it has taken place, Many of the deficiencies that POET had at 2015 and prior have been addressed by current management. However, in doing so, it has consumed time and effort. Is it all in vain? I think not. But at least we are following a roadmap towards success rather than trying to be something that we were not back then (prior to 2015). This time when our share price rises towards a dollar or more, it will probably not fall below that anymore as the proper foundation was built.
