Hi Junkers, no debate with Sula, I was just asking him how he calculated the risk when he invested in POET. Other than that, just the difference between "pom pom" and "glum". I am amazed how there can be such a positive viewpoint from some given the dismal stock price and lack of accomplishments (that have been publicly disclosed), considering all of the historical bullish "words". I would personally be quite embarrassed if I had stated some of those "words".
The low stock price causes me great concern as they will need some money soon, and that is a big red flag. I am not impressed with any of POET's "words" anymore, and I just wait for something positive to happen. That needs to happen soon, and it might if they are on track, but I don't know whether or not that is the case, as there has been no information provided. This to me is somewhat arrogant.
My fear is that there are riches to be made with this company, however it may turn out that this is not for the retail investor, but a select few (might be the intent all along, who knows, but it would not be the first time this type of thing has happened - greed). That is the way this company has been driven the last couple of years. This is the only thing that makes sense to me, as these people are smart and could not miss this many times. An example of such a miss is "we are going to sell detectors" followed by "no-one wants discrete detectors, need the whole package", and this is after the 100 days of asking customers what they want. How can this happen? One or two "slip-ups" OK, but almost everything?
I am hoping for a surprise, but that has been the case for a long time now. It is time that our rock stars sell a song.
Good luck!!
