I have had a significant amount of money invested in this stock for a few years. One of the things that attracted me to investing in this company was the potential applications it had within a military context-- at the time, in my mind, that translated to potential profits.
However, as I've seen the stock price fall, and fall, and fall some more, it just wasn't making sense: first and foremost you've had intelligent people who are highly respected in their fields working for the company, and more importantly a community of very intelligent people from around the world who are investors.
In my very humble opinion, the only thing that seems to make sense is that the stock price has been deliberately suppressed. By which I mean that there is a deliberate attempt to divert attention and interest away from the company and to discourage public investment. A government entity is most likely involved and in the interests of security, it's not public knowledge.
That would also explain why communications have been, at times non-existant, or sparse-- and why the company is not concerned about being accountable-- they don't answer to shareholders. The company is probably very successful, shareholders are just not going to profit from it.
While individual greed can be a factor, there are too many people working in high profile positions who would be unwilling to risk associating their reputation with a company that acted so disreputably-- quite a few of them will still have to look for jobs if the company went belly up.
