I used to trade warrants for their leverage and there are calculators to produce a value. There are also sites that track the values for Canadian warrants that trade.
In my opinion this warrant would have a value of just a few cents today being significantly out of the money and 1/2 one share. The longer the time to expire the higher the value.
If the shares were trading at .80 then I would assume a whole warrant would be valued at maybe maybe .90 minus the exercise price or .10. In our case it is half a warrant so .05.
Using a Black-Scholes Pricing Analysis for call options and plugging in a current value of .80 share price (an arbitrary current value) over a 2 year term it calculates the value of POETs .75 warrants at .115 (.065 for ½ a warrant). PS I ran it after I did my own estimate.
At a .55 share price the value becomes .013 for a whole warrant.
For those that are interested this site will give you some sense of what the warrants would trade at if they could be traded which clearly ramps the value significantly. They are a great way to leverage and I don’t think people pay enough attention to these hidden gems.
