killer66 I really enjoyed the OCP2018 link you posted. It provides a great overview on how the standards play a huge role on progress and how they can also limit progress. It becomes increasingly clear that standards cannot keep up with technical development. Innovation is moving so fast today which really means that standards have to be developed very quickly to capture the best designs. Ultimately the needs are being delayed by the speed at which standards are adopted.
This also produces opportunity to allow those who can very quickly ramp up production to become the market leaders.
One of the more insightful presentations from OCP2018 that is specifically relevant to POET's development for 400G.
