Interesting story about the CEO at SilTerra. What I find somewhat comforting is Poet's ability to seek out and strike up relationships with what appears to be 'best in class' constituents as opposed to just the biggest fish in the pond.
Whether this translates into material commercial success remains to be seen but clearly, Suresh has a vision, a strategy to achieve that vision and is very selective with whom he choses to share in that vision and success.
As far as the financials are concerned, I think recent history suggests that the financials would have normally been filed and disclosed by this time. Obviously they are not which to me suggests one of two things:
- There are difficulties getting the financials approved by the auditors and the BOD or;
- Poet may have something material to announce and they need to get it over the finish line prior to the deadline for filing the year end financial report
I think item #1 is unlikely and item #2 is more probable. If that is the case, will everything be disclosed at the same time or will there be back-to-back disclosure?
In any event, we will be seeing the year end report soon enough.
