Indeed Hogan, There would have been very thorough vetting by POET to sign with SilTerra and when you read the CEO’s bio it hits home why this company would allow changes to their facility to accommodate the POET Interposer Platform.  

I continue to recall the confidence level that Suresh demonstrated when we spoke to him at the EC. In particular the very bullish attitude with a comment that he did not really care what other companies were doing implying that no one has a technology platform that has the same advantages of the optical interposer for a CMOS compatible solution.  The advantages of very advanced photonic circuits connected very efficient to silicon which is not compromised in the process. Without the need for complex and power hungry thermal management for wavelength tuning. This platform allows for the best of both worlds in a compact package that should be able to scale very quickly to meet industry’s needs. Looking forward to that moment in time when POET proves what they have in a way that leaves no doubt.
