OC, that's pretty much what I can gather from friends and available info.

He still works out of the university, where he has tenure. There is no longer any direct relationship between POET and GT. There seems to be no longer a non compete agreement in place for that matter and no indication that he is a shareholder any longer. The university still holds shares and maintains a IP revenue agreement with POET, should GAs become relevent again, for what I can gather.

Each is free to go their own way........
