Can't really disagree with any of the thoughts, comments and opinions regarding a buy out however, if some entity comes along and ponies up the cash which represents fair and reasonable value in the eyes of the majority of shareholders, it could very well get done.
I probably started the discussion about a buyout which suggested that it may represent the easiest way for the retail shareholders to exit given how we seem to be at the mercy of the market. The overriding and significant assumption was and is, that it is fair value..........and I for one would be quite happy if an offer was made which was north of $4-5B. I would not for one minute suggest nor accept an offer in the $1-2 per share range.
At this point, assuming that the normal market premiums of 30-40% might be applicable is just unreasonable, IMHO and would not be approved by the majority of shareholders
