POET is like an island in formation. It's been underwater for years, but it is growing and growing towards the surface. The interposer is the first real tangible chunk of land piercing the surface of the blue ocean. More energy and momentum will make this sandbar turn into a real island. Eventually, that island will have mountains on it.
