Message: Kaiam explores alternatives as UK operations go into administration

It would be great if POET had the backing to take advantage of those assets. My very first thought. Kaiam had what was/is regarded as one of the best active alignment processes available using MEMS to reduce the manual intervention efforts required for lens alignment.

So does it go deeper than the size of the company or has recognition that potentially one of the most advanced free air optics process technologies available was a stop gap process?

Many of you will recall that I was a proponent of Kaiam who were regarded as a progressive company in seeking solutions to optical integration as being a contender for adopting the POET Optical Interposer.

As they say "one man’s loss is another man's gain" personification yes, but I think it applies.
