The new buyer will be required to invest in DenseLight to meet POETs needs. I suspect that also includes investments in the new Singapore Photonics Innovation Center which as we recall POET never issued an NR about. I think the reason is probably because this deal is associated with the new owner of DL.
The operation is being taken over by a company who operates fabs and clearly is aligned with POETs view on the optical interposer such that the agreements for co-operation, supply and licensing are really the corner stone of the deal.
I expect the new owner sees the roadmap in many applications where the optical interposer will offer superior solutions and they share that view to collaborate well into the future.
