It's Easter and I feel rather reflective.

I find it rather amusing to read the accreditation criteria as, and I am not alone it would seen, I fail to qualify by a significant factor, I'm left wondering what went wrong?

On the basis of my Military carreer I always knew that whilst it was most unlikely that I would ever be a rich man It was equally a trueism that I was unlikly to be a poor man, given that a military pension would sustain me and my family comfortably and indeed it does.    What I value most from my career, was exactly what I had hoped to gain from accepting the Queen's shilling, a rather unique and varied life of adventure and travel, rich in lifes experiences and the many opportunities that this presented which I grasped. 

POET has become one of those adventures, with its bumpy ride, the fluctuating feelings of elation and dissapointment, both quite troublesone emotions at times, yet nevertheless satisfying, to think that my invested savings were in some way contributing to computer development represented initially by Geoffrey Talylor's genius to resolve the problem of using photons rather than electrons to meet the challenges of speed and efficiency in computing, a real and troublesom limitation affecting computing science.  Then came Suresh Venkatson's maniputlations and direction changes leading to the Optical Interposer product, which today by all accounts appear to be a project heading for some degree of success, I suspect with reasonable feelings of hope, quite significant in impliction and impact.

The mystery and excitement remains, and by George (since tomorrow is St Georges Day, as well as the anniversary of Shakespears birth and death, I may actually increase my wealth in the 'near future'.  Wouldn't it be nice if the revelation occured on the 23 April 2019.  Perhaps then I might even meet some future acreditation requirement in Venture Capital Investment
