Just to clarify. The debenture does not give the owner any voting rights that I am aware of until they are converted.

I don't understand that logic at all. Unless you needed the money short term why would you ask for it back and give up both the potential for some great future capital gains and in the meantime give up the interest payment?
That does not make any sense to me at all. And don't forget the buyers in the first 4 tranche’s only had POET's word that the sale was going forward and that there would be other buyers who were interested if it fell through.
As we all know there was a huge outcry from this forum from a few people who did not believe the sale would go through. Oh ye of little faith.
Hard for me to imagine any shareholder not seeing the benefits associated with the sale to this group of high tech well connected investors who are going to provide POET with access to the high growth Chinese market. And remember their business model relies on the success of the POET optical interposer based solutions.
