Ah well they were halcyon days TT!! Lots of reasons for that SP rise. Largely due to a man called Sheldon Inwentash and Pinetree capital. Basically he/they pumped it up by buying loads of shares. And along with that surge, came a lot of speculation (the fruit company) and subsequent buying from many people on here, who have since been burnt. The then management, also played a large part in it, making some ill-advised comments or overly optimistic proclamations.

Sadly the reality was hugely out of kilter with the SP. When Sheldon didn’t like what he was seeing, ie the change of company direction, lead by Suresh. He decided to sell up and decimated the SP.

Since then, there is a huge hangover and mistrust of this company IMO. Some justified, some a little harsh. I believe the new management are more trustworthy and certainly much more capable of bringing success. It’ll take some time and major deals to heal the wounds.
