Think about it. 400g was delayed a year.
I am not sure that is accurate Leb. Were they really projecting 400G to be in commercial production right now? You could be right but it certainly would not be 100G Lambda or CWDM based optical engines. So yes industry as a whole has been delayed and POET has been delayed and I think that a big part of that reason is because they are building to more advanced standards. I had concerns early last year when as I recall CWDM was not even in the picture just Parallel Single Mode with 8 channels. Clearly the customer wanted higher standards to meet all data center needs.
It is easy to be really PO’d because of all the delays and the resulting share price but in the end what matters is commercial success of this disruptive platform for optical integration.
