KROM, in reading through the article you may have missed this:

"GF’s Yu said the company’s 45CLO monolithic technology will be manufactured at Fab 8 in Malta, New York and plans on qualification of its production process in the second half of 2021."

I think it's important to note that their qualification isn't planned until the second half of NEXT year, presumably with full-on volume production not until 2022?  Of course, plans can always be pushed back due to unforeseen technical issues.

So, I would say it's questionable on who's late to the party.  Toss in some superior technical specs per FJ and it seems we're in a pretty solid position.  IMO.
