Other investors might have also bought 7 years ago but are now selling, with their decision depending solely on a share price comparison between then and now.
They were willing to wait for 7 years – a seemingly important investment horizon –, but now they draw the conclusion that their investment did not bear the fruit they expected, so they are getting out. This is based solely on that 7-year principle, irrespective of what is actually going on business-wise, irrespective of any future prospects of the company and the stock.
Well, just another theory, which might well be wrong …
