Seems like people are beginning to grasp that the optical interposer is to photonics what the printed circuit board is to electronics. The range of applications is virtually unlimited.

The key difference is that anyone can etch their own PCB to suit their application, but not even leading photonics companies were able to pull off something like the optical interposer – only POET.
