AdAstra - there's 1 chance in 10,000 that would happen. And I've not seen the 1 yet - so maybe we're due! Lol. Not sure about Canada, but that kind of pricing may be banned by the SEC, and if not, would certainly be banned by the "fair, just and equitable" states. The Federal securities laws are not as tough as those of most states. The 1933 Act is basically a disclosure law - tell the potential buyers everything stinky about the issue and the issuer is free to sell it.
We'd be lucky if such an offering had a price tag equal to the then market price of the stock - with no warrants attached!!
Having said that, which I strongly believe to be fact, my opinion is Poet is undervalued right now, today, this minute, by at least 3x, so long as what we're hearing is accurate and not misleading. Poet would be a great risk reward pickup by many large tech companies. Just the know how and patents should have great value. A billion (heck, US$) is bargain basement.
