Can you explain why you find it terrifying?

At that point he is talking about current silicon photonics, requiring labourious (expensive, time) steps to bond III-V materials to silicon, since it can't LASE.  Then he talks about the amount of research (operative word) being done on epitaxial growth of the III-V materials into the silicon. Which he says " is far from trivial", but thats the way the market is going.  He then mentions the iMec SP platform, which he admits doesn't include the laser or put another way, they still have to bond and align the laser to their platform.  This is the issue POET is resolving and appears to be ahead of the game.

It appears to me at least.  He is making a good case for POET solution.  So I am slightly confused by your apparent fear and attempt to convince people that 2021 has seen a downturn in our fortunes, as a result of some terrifying revelation. If anything, 2021 has been the most successful period in the companies history, from a business and technical standpoint.  Of course you'll highlight the SP, but my view is this will change once we're away from the venture exchange.
