Kind of like old school naturally aspirated V8 power. Versus what some have done with the inline 6 mild hybrid. A pancake motor generator between the ICE and the transmission plus an electric driven supercharger that fills the gap before the turbo spools. Many will hold onto the big naturally aspirated V8 because that's what they know and love.
But eventually the manufacturers move past that and beyond and see the EV as the future with an amount of power and instantaneous torque that can’t be matched. That is going to take time and infrastructure.
