Ajit was CEO at GF from Nov 2011 until late 2013, when internal discord and pressure from the Emerites led to the board's decision to change CEOs.  Ajit was ousted and replaced with Sanjay Jha in January 2014. The change was not friendly, Ajit and Sanjay having adversarial managerial styles and Sanjay was the more agressive and also the choice of the Emerites investment company.

Ajit left, very unhappy about what transpired at GF. He decided to convince his friend Suresh that he should also leave to join the development of this "sure thing" start up company with this world beating idea of a Gallium Arsinide chip. Suresh's decision was viewed by many as a career disaster, as he he appeared to be on track to become top management at GF

When the history of POET is finally written, these things will finally be made clear by the principles.

For now, be assured that there is no cosy, lets sing Cumbyah together, relationship between these guys and GF
