Here’s what I just commented on Reddit:
I must say I have mixed feelings, Adrian! On the one hand, I’m looking forward to things getting moved, for obvious reasons.
On the other hand, I still miss fundamental improvements in communications. A frequent communication (mis)pattern of POET is that things are announced – and then we don’t hear about them anymore. Or we learn only much, much later what has become of them. And perhaps that they have changed in the meantime.
For example, before new announcements and actions, it would be nice to know what has actually happened to the plans to go into production with four products by the end of 2022. Did that work out? Did it not work out? We don’t know.
Such things make shareholders uneasy, and uneasy shareholders is not what the company wants. Because they sell their shares.
So my wish for the new year is that POET first puts out a press release on this point, clarifies the matter and only then tackles new things.
Or let me put it this way: “Wait-and-see would also be a big mistake” when communicating with shareholders.
