"Released for prioduction" may be a term of art in the industry, but it is easily misunderstood by most non-industry folks. It was clarified by the company later, though. Of course, some may have missed the claricstion.
"Developer design lock" may be a more descriptive way of conveying the meaning. But that may not be the way what was to have been accomplished is referred to in the biz. In any event, it was explained.
And what Poet feels is the locked design doesn't mean that some potential customers wont ask for tweaks in that design. I'm hoping a few early potentials are happy with what Poet has "locked."
