MM…I hate to admit it but the chart hasn't looked good for the last 15 years.

It hasn’t looked good for 15 years? Does 2007 when OPEL was in the solar panel tracker business provide any reasonable metric for chart comparison? There were 35 million shares O/S at that time so we are talking about a market cap of about $70 million.  The market cap today is $210 million. Making any judgment of the chart with so many changes over that time period does not have any real value other than a talking point.

The stock price when POET stopped development of the GaAs platform would definitely be a better starting point for determining share price performance as Suresh redirected POET’s focus to single mode applications with the greater distance capabilities that industry was moving to for the data center and metro.

I would suggest that signing the wafer agreement with Silterra marks a pivotal point in the development of the company today. What they have done since then is really a meaningful measurement of the company's success and stock performance. When the Silterra deal was announced in April 2018 the share price was .51 with 288 million shares outstanding.  5 years later they have 8 groundbreaking  products to display at OFC. The share price has not kept pace with the company's progress but what else is new…It is after all the stock market.
