POET is a frontrunner in Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) technology, with products widely used in optical communications, LiDAR, and other communications. By partnering with POET, Luxshare-TECH accelerates progress in PIC technology research and application, propelling the optical communications industry towards higher integration and lower power consumption.

Now I am excited! People are frustrated with the amount of time it is taking to get products into the market. However what POET has been doing is developing a wide  array of devices and structures with an extensive library to build out applications as they become relevant. For example the 3d mirror structures that POET has developed and is widely used in 800G Rx products allows them to steer a beam of light and reduce or expand the spot size (focal point) for industry leading coupling efficiencies. 

Now as per the Luxshare-TECH linkedin reference to POET products being used for LiDAR I think they have made a very significant reference (spilled the beans) on something POET has been actively working on. 

One of the recent patents applies to coupling VCSELs using highly efficient 3d mirror structures fabricated into waveguides which is now a generic element in the POET library.  

The ability to mix and match devices to efficiently integrate optics is providing designers with a level of flexibility that is unique to industry and will accelerate the applications that POET can simplify and ultimately reduce the time to market. Remember 10X lower CAPEX with the ability to rapidly scale. 

 Now if only the market can discover the opportunity that is in front of them.
