The Linkedin post by Luxshare publicly discussing utilizing POET to acheive it's goals points to a perfect (missed) marketing oppertunity by SV. Since mentioning a firms name in a press release many times requires preapproval, POET (knowing of Luxshare's action) could have published a release of it's own which discribes more about how the product is being utilized now and what advantages it may provide Luxshare long term. Further and more important, if crafted correctly the release could suggest what projected revenue stream POET might see from Luxshare in the future. A second point which needs to be made relates to NDA's being used as the reason for POET not announcing/discussing relationships. Once the other firm named on an NDA publicly releases POET as their supplier the gag order has been lifted! Of course, prosfessional courtesy dictates that POET should pass it's release by the other party before it's published. I've been party to many of these meetings and yes there is some give and take on wording but nothing prevents the release from happening now that utilizing POET product is in the public domain.
