Additionally POET is now in discussions to license advanced optical engines. That interest as I understand it was generated at OFC after demonstrating 800G and 1.6T capability along with the ability to produce 3.2T in a pluggable form factor. Since POET was under the gun to make this happen before OFC and was able to achieve this in a first pass after 5 months of development I believe this generated the current licensing interest. As a side note there was skepticism by the team that they could achieve this milestone in time for OFC.
The point being is that this option was likely unknown prior to OFC.
