Good answer Sparta. Myself and one other forum member had the opportunity to speak with Suresh in private (during the debenture financing). My partner asked Suresh when and where his search for a viable optical integration platform began. I will respect Suresh's wishes to keep that information private but I will tell you that Suresh recognized those needs early in his career and he was supported by his CEO to research technologies that looked promising. That being said I was able to speak to Suresh around the time when the Optical Interposer light came on. As he described the capabilities there was a level of excitement that he could not hide. It was new and he knew even then that it would open doors of even the biggest industry players. The ability to run dielectric waveguides so close to electrical pathways without interference was a recipe for a future way of performing optical integration using techniques that were beginning to dominate high end applications in smartphones.
So after decades of work that began very early in his career we can see that the fruits of his labor are being recognised by industry. He has come a long way with precious little money so I believe that the cash they now have in hand will be spent very wisely. There are many applications that this technology can transform so I do believe that Sures is living the life he wants to live building POET into something that is very special.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. And thanks Mazan for all the support you have shown. It's not been easy but it will be well worth it as we come down the home stretch.
