I didn't say Multilane was expanding optical engine production. My comment says modules.

One of my theories is that some of the funds being raised recently are going to be used as a cash contribution for expansion of SPX. Currently, SPX is in a temporary 5,000 square foot facility. That cannot be sufficient for mass production. 

CAI isn't a limiting factor right now, or even in the next couple years. CAI won't be in volume production until 2027. IMO, the product that will have the most volume in the next 24 months will be Luxshare 800G modules based on 2x of the 400G engines.
