Dont know whether there has been further development to replace ayerlabs microrings? They are / were tuned to 125 degrees which i guess was toptimized to match the  silicon temp at ave load? Don't know but they require heaters to maintain that temperature. Its not what Cai uses

 Microring temperature  requires tight control. So silicn obviously requires cooling but the microrings have to be heated if silicn temp is below 125...otherwise the wavelength drifts and communication is lost
