So you believe there could be variables introduced into that equation? I have observed coupling loss and insertion loss as interchangeable in all documents I have read. If we include waveguide loss (length) we have introduced a variable which would render the measurement meaningless? To be honest I would have expected something better but it does not surprise me given what others have reported.
