Thinking about what would best for POET's chip-2-chip products :
ONE solution, a product for mass production.
Easy useable and/or configurable (or easy chooseable via options)
All with same (defacto standard) interface (incl. plugs) for XPU's, memory, discs and whatever.
So you can use and put together as and how much as you want :
xPU with memory
xPU with xPU
Each as much as you want.
Connections between the items are just external extended from box to box or within the box.
One meter or thousands meter remote - doesn't matter.
The operatingsystem Linux, MS or whatever just see the xPU and memory resources but no photonic tech.
And as usual the (AI) applications see just the operating system.
How to get this :
Sure is right now CAI the best "playground " for exactly that.
To coordinate, define and test.
Adjust hardware, software, firmware, interfaces for sure
Redefine and more tests ..
It takes a lot of time.
To eat the cake is best when he is perfectly made and finished "cooked".
IMO this result/cake would be also the best for AMD and SAMSUNG
So at all we have to wait ... together with AMD and SAMSUNG and of course NVIDIA, BROADCOM ...
