Saskatchewan Shale Gas
DEVELOPING OIL AND GAS ASSETS IN WESTERN CANADA
PanTerra Resource Corp. Calgary, AB., TSX.V : PAN,
An independent resource company focused on the exploration and development of Shale Gas in the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada.
PanTerra is committed to explore for and develop shale gas on its extensive land holdings in the Province of Saskatchewan - where it hold “all rights” from surface to basement - and to create a solid asset base with an established Net Asset Value "NAV".
Bakken and Torquay potential may exist on the Moose Jaw block. The Company is currently evaluating this potential for future exploration..
Project Overview
Foam Lake - Moose Jaw - Shell Lake
Focused on exploring for and developing “Unconventional Gas” in the Province of Saskatchewan. Major Oil companies drilled a number of deep wells on PanTerra’s lands during the mid 50’s. However, at that time gas prices were low, no pipelines existed in the area and the few wells that were tested yielded varying amounts of gas.
Gas was produced as early as 1875 in the Kamsack area and in the 1930’s a number of gas wells were drilled and produced directly to a saw mill and a camp at Bertwell.
PanTerra recognized this potential and after extensive searching, studying and interpreting the geological and public records, chose to focus its “Unconventional Gas” Exploration in three major areas in the province.
PanTerra was successful in bidding on 3 Exploration Permits for a total of 45 Townships or 1618 sections (square miles). Bidding on Exploration Permits allows the Company to spend work commitment dollars to acquire the land while exploring and to effectively spend its investor's money by drilling and finding gas reserves rather than sinking large dollar amounts into land costs.
To date PanTerra has drilled 36 wells and has a 100% working Interest in the 45 Townships.
Extensive testing and fracture stimulations will be attempted on the 36 wells to best determine the most efficient and economic method of producing the huge (63 Tcf) “in place” gas resources.
PanTerra is presently reviewing and evaluating the portions of the Moose Jaw Block for deeper potential which may include the Bakken and Torquay formations.
The three parcels of land PanTerra currently operates are: Foam Lake, Moose Jaw and Shell Lake
