Welcome To The Pro-Or Mining HUB On AGORACOM
The Junction of Resources and Technologies.
Pro-Or Mining Resources was initially established in 1986 as a junior mining company whose main asset was the Menarik property in James Bay, which hosts the largest known chromite deposit in North America. In 2000, Pro-Or’s involvement in chromite generated a business opportunity for the development of a new chromite processing technology, in collaboration with the Institut National de Recherche Scientifique (INRS). Since then, Pro-Or has invested close to $3 million in research and development that has led to the development of two new patented processes, one for the recovery of Platinum Group Metals (PGM) and the other for the production of UpGraded Chromite (UGC), primarily for use in the production of stainless steel. Pro-Or owns 100% of the rights to these technologies, both of which have the potential to transform current industry practices. With these technologies, Pro-Or presently has three distinct areas of activity: the development and commercialization of its PGM recovery process, the development and commercialization of its UGC production process, and mining exploration.
